Issue 7 - out soon!

For Issue 7 TLAJ has collaborated with ex-students from Liverpool Uni's new 'Philosophy of Aesthetics' course. The theme was loose from the outset but it seems to have drifted to 'Investigations into Gallery Practice'. It features a look at Tate Liverpool's Fifth Floor programme by Nigel Gully and the amusing 'The 10 Commandments of doing a creative project in Liverpool' by Kenn Taylor.
The issue should be ready for the Lancashire zine fair at UCLAN 30-31st Jan.

AA2A UCLan

I am now on the 2009 Artists Access to Art Colleges at Univeristy of Central Lancs to develop The Liverpool Art Journal through hopefully making collaborations with the students there.
I've already been in the print department a few times and am surprisingly excited about all the print possibility there is!
I hope to really experiment with making my journals more pieces of art in themselves and collaborating between the written word, the flat paper and the explorative image.
Issues or special one-offs will hopefully be out early next year.

Also, TLAJ will be at the Lancs Book and Zine fair orgainsed by Craig Atkinson early next year too.

Issue 6 - Collaboration with 'DIY Presents'

Issue 6 sees an exciting collaboration between artist group ArtBloc and their project 'DIY Presents'. ArtBloc are a newly formed artist co-operative centred in York. Artbloc members also contribute towards peninthesideofmyhead - you can find more images and info at http://www.peninthesideofmyhead.blogspot.com/

I love collaborations like this cos I like to see the journal as a vehicle for exploration and investigation. Things that really can't and shouldn't be planned too much. I'll be formatting the internal stuff this weekend and the journal should be ready next week for buying and reading.
All the best, Tracey
